Trails of Love Pick Bridal Fair - 1,000 Origami Cranes: Upholding a Wedding Tradition

In conjunction with our upcoming Bridal Fair in October, we at Crowne Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur pledges to fold 1,000 origami cranes by October.

This Japanese traditional art of origami is known as ‘Senbazuru’ and symbolizes labor of love which upholds the belief that when these thousand paper cranes were given to a couple as a wedding gift, the couple will be blessed by a thousand years of happiness and prosperity.

With this in mind, everyone at Crowne Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur started the folding of 1,000 paper cranes since early August. The paper cranes were specially made with printed heart-shaped paper on one side and another side filled with blissful wedding wishes. Each paper measures 10cm by 10cm signify ‘Perfect 10’ or 100% which mean that the lucky couple to receive this gift will not only be blessed by a thousand years of happiness and prosperity but also that this marriage is a match made in heaven and that the couple are destined for each other.

This upcoming bridal fair held in October will be ‘one-of-a-kind’ in Malaysia, for now, we are not saying much but for a certain, it will be a much-awaiting bridal fair for all ‘future brides & grooms. ‘Senbazuru’ is just the beginning, as there will be a spectacular treat for all parties, so do look out for more "WOWs" that are coming along the way. For more information, please email to: jacqueline.wong@crowneplazamutiarakl.com or follow the 'Trails of Love Pick Bridal Fair' at our blog for more updates.
