A MERRY atmosphere prevailed at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur was filled with JOY, EXCITEMENT and LAUGHTERS, as we played the perfect host of a Hari Raya Open House to more than 200 underprivileged recipients from Tasputra Perkim, Yayasan Sunbeams Home and Rumah WAKE; self-supporting shelters which houses, cares and provides for these unfortunate children. Accompanied by their caretakers, our special little guests were treated to a delicious array of local delicacies, entertained with traditional songs and a dance performance by our very own ‘Wonder Girls’ and not forgetting the Hari Raya essential – duit raya, whereby these special little guests were given tokens sum of money.

Present to share in the joyous occasion were Crowne Plaza Mutiara KL General Manager, Charles Marshall; Hotel Manager, Gaurav Rai and senior management together with more than 30 hotels’ staff who assisted in hosting and entertaining these children. All in all, it was a fun-filled and joyous event for everyone; this is what Raya is all about.
